updates

I've been neglecting blogging but going back to work really messes with your schedule!!

I had to work 8 hour days this week to help out at the clinic until we hired the new girl. She will be working mornings and early afternoons until I come in at 3pm. I don't want to work full time which is why I accepted this position. It's 20 hours a week right now but could go up to 30 depending on the other girls schedule. She is an athletic trainer and will be working with the schools alot once football season starts. So my schedule will flutuate a bit depending on her schedule.

The weather has cooled off nicely the past couple of days. It was way too hot for our day at the renaissance fair. Carl didn't even go, he was in the car with us but I had to turn around half way there to take him back home he was so sick! I was hoping we could go together this coming saturday but doesn't look like that will happen.

Got a few tiny green tomatoes showing on my one plant! Probably should water it tomorrow since we've had no rain for a few weeks and alot of sun and heat!

Going to try to attach a picture now...

First week back at work

So my first few days at the new job have passed and today will be the start of my first full week there. I have to admit my second day on the job I was wondering if I hadn't made a mistake. But Friday was better and I feel pretty good about the coming week. I was really tired and frustrated with the lack of training and feeling very overwhelmed with all the stuff they were kinda throwing at me. I feel more in control now though and am just reminding myself that I still have 2 more weeks before the other assistant's last day and that should be plenty of time for me to get a handle on my duties and to begin feeling more comfortable. I know I'm perfectly capable of handling this job, it's just amazing how hard it is to get back into working full time after being at home for a year!
We went to the Highland Games at the Enumclaw Fairgrounds on Saturday. It was fun as always and not too hot for a change.
Next up, Renfaire!
